FXR System Review

I was unable to install the FAB 28 exhaust system onto my early model (1987) FXR because the metal bracket provided with the system that attaches the muffler to the bike would not work because it is apparently designed for a later model FXR. The FAB 28 Ops Mgr. represented several times that he would send a bracket redesigned for an earlier model FXR, and that they were currently working on the bracket, but the bracket never came. After several months and multiple texts & phone calls, FAB28 stopped corresponding so I gave up on them & had a local shop fabricate a bracket (which meant the shop also had to install the exhaust system). The exhaust system is finally installed six months after ordering & paying FAB 28 for the system & incurring an extra $400 for fabrication & installation that I didn’t expect to pay. Two stars because the system appears to be well built using quality materials.
